Sprained ankles are easy to explain if you fell or twisted in some way but what about the pains in the foot and ankle that you can’t explain? Sometimes the ankle can feel locked up or you can’t get a stretch in your calf or your Achilles is tight or bottom of the foot cramps. All these conditions can be caused by a restricted ankle joint. There are 26 bones in one foot, and they all serve a purpose. Some of the bigger culprits in ankle locking are the heal (calcaneus), the talus (dome shaped bone under the shin bone) and the bones of the medial arch. There are several strong muscles that affect the movement of these important bones. At Back in Action we are experts in finding the root cause to your problem and we have the specializations in treatments to fix it.
